This is why I bought a drone. This is a huge part of why I wanted to jump into my little car and travels thousands of kilometres. This is Hutt Lagoon, the Pink Lake. The extremely high salt content creates the perfect environment for the carotenoid-producing algae, Dunaliela Salina, giving the body of water its pink hues. Depending on the time of day and concentrations, the hues are different.
