I hiked up Kings Canyon the day Charles became king. I had no idea the queen had passed away as was off the grid. Seems the Canyon turned on a dramatic time for me. Its stunning ancient sandstone layers, rugged vegetation were testament to the very strong winds that pummelled me on my hike. Exquisite landscape. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Kings Canyon, Watarrka National Park, Northern Territory, Australia.
