This photograph was taken at Kinkakuji, The Golden Temple in Kyoto, Japan. I am always fascinated with Japan's sense of placement in design. This image celebrates the careful placement of a beautifully asymmetrical rock, appearing to float in the pond in which the turgidity of the water is controlled to perfectly reflect the light emanating from the gold leaf on the temple. On this day I was mesmerised by the dance of the ripples on the water. It's the little things.....
